The Clambook- smart ultra-thin laptop powered by Android

The Clambook looks like an ultra-thin laptop, slim and sleek aluminum design features a widescreen display, full-sized keyboard and multi-touch trackpad. Actually, it is powered by Android OS, the OS that currently use in smartphone and tablet.

The ClamBook uses integrated MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link ) technology that can transfer digital video and audio, and power the smartphone at the same time. You can run your apps, view pictures, watch videos, type documents, and browse the web on the ClamBook’s widescreen display, without worrying that it will drain your phone’s battery.

The ClamBook boasts a 13.3-inch, 16:9 HD LED backlit display, a full-size keyboard (with dedicated Android keys), 3D Cinema Sound and multi-touch trackpad – all of which comes packed into a neat little aluminum package which bears more than a passing resemblance to the MacBook Air. Indeed, the ClamBook is actually slimmer than a MacBook Air, making this laptop dock a very portable alternative to your average notebook.

Apple’s Macbooks might be ridiculously priced but they have aura on their way. For example, Macbook Air is designed for portability and powerful. Suddenly, this laptop has attracted another tech giant company such as Samsung, Acer and Asus to compete in this category. This type of laptop was categorized as ultrabook.

Last year, Intel came up with its Ultrabook standards. Ultrabook, a laptop must be thin and light less than 20mm thick and under 1.4kg in weight. This laptop also remove DVD drives and using Intel’s low voltage Sandy Bridge processor. Ultrabook also use Solid State Drive (SSD) as storage which consumes less power,high speed transfer rate,thinner but smaller size data store compared to hardisk drive (HDD).
