Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 vs iPad 3 vs Nexus 7

Samsung announced its latest tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 on Wednesday. Sadly, many reviewer not feel impressed with this new tablet with stylus pen. They said the Note 10.1 just isn’t up there with the Asus Transformer Infinitys, Nexus 7s, and iPads of the world. However, we can’t judge like that. Last time, despite initial skepticism that the original Galaxy Note’s 5.3-inch display was too big, the device has surpassed expectations, with the company quick to claim a hit product. The company says it has sold 10 million units of the Galaxy Note in the past nine months.

Well, there is no secret that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab line has done poorly, with recent court filings revealing the company sold a total of 1.4 million tablets, including the original Galaxy Tab, the Galaxy Tab 10.1, and Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE — a mere fraction of the millions of iPads that Apple has been able to sell in the same period.

The iPad still king of tablet with new high-resolution screen, huge app support but not so friendly ecosystem. However, you still have Nexus 7, which is a budget tablet (save your pocket money).

Here’s a handy spec list comparing the Note 10.1′s most important specs with the hottest the iPad’s and Nexus 7′s.

What’s new in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

We are not talking about jelly bean food. It is new Android version 4.1 which code named as Jelly Bean. Recently, Google showed off their new product, Asus Nexus 7, a cheap tablet along with another new Google software product for mobile, Android 4.1. So, what we can expect from this new upgrade OS?

Not so much we can expect because the version 4.1 seem to be small update/enhancement of current features Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Here I can summarize several features that all the tech reviewer said.

Speed and Smoothness
Faster, more responsive interface throughout the system. Google made some efforts to improve this feature by creating team called “Project Butter”. Jelly Bean will sense the location and direction of your finger and predict, a few milliseconds early.

New way voice command actions
Last time, if you send a text message or type using voice command, you need internet connection. But now you can do it offline. (The software itself can interpret queries, rather than streaming them up to Google’s servers for analysis). The functionality looks like Apple’s Siri virtual assistant. [Read more...]

Google rolled out new tablet Nexus 7 with new Android

New Google product, Nexus 7 is 7 inch tablet with new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the new challenger in the tablet market. With very cheap price US$159 and US$199, I think it gonna beat another 7 inch tablet like 1Malaysia tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 and the rest if converting the price into Ringgit Malaysia, the price range around RM600 plus, below than normal price of tablet.

I believe with low price tablet by Google Nexus 7, it’s going to be trend next couple of months where all tablets price will going down and affordable to the consumers. Currently, the tablets price are slightly cheaper than laptop. So, how about specs of Nexus 7? Is it worth to buy?
