Galaxy S III as thin as Motorola Droid Razr

Rumors: Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III may end up challenging the Motorola Droid Razr as the thinnest 4G handset. The Galaxy S III, may have thickness about 7mm or about 0.27 inch, according to a source report from South Korea.

The source of the report are apparently ‘industry insider’ who are in the know. They are saying that the Galaxy S III is expected to launch in the month of May.

Currently, Motorola Droid Razr which release in November is 0.28 inch thick and currently owns the bragging right of thinnest 4G smatphone on the market. The Galaxy S II is 8.49mm or about 0.33 inch thick.

Previous Samsung Galaxy S II known as killer iPhone. A few specs of Samsung Galaxy S III has been revealed. It is expected using Android 4 for this year since last year Galaxy Nexus already launched using this OS version. The Galaxy S III seems to integrate an even faster processor, there is even talk of a 1.8Ghz Quad Core processor and 2GB RAM.

Samsung Galaxy S III will have 12MP instead of 8MP on Galaxy S II and offer 4.6 screen large with new screen technology, FOLED which uses less power, offer better performance. While manufacturing has supposedly been underway since October of last year, we may have to wait until May to see the new S III.
