The Porsche 918 Spyder is on the road: Porsche has taken the driving trials of the super sports car of the future a step further with completion of the initial prototypes. It is designed as a plug-in hybrid vehicle combining a high-performance combustion engine with cutting-edge electric motors for extraordinary performance: on the one hand, the dynamics of a racing machine boasting more than 770 hp, on the other hand, fuel consumption in the region of three litres per 100 kilometres. The figure is very impressive, especially if you consider that the Galaxy S II took 10 months to ship 20 million units, while the new Galaxy S took a mere 2 weeks to reach almost half of that number. Also, the preorders are better than shipments, since they’re almost as good as sales. It looks like Samsung has hit gold once again with this model and Apple really has something to fear this time, or better said HTC and LG do, since Apple’s preorders for the iPhone 4S were much bigger and I’m sure the iPhone 5 will break records.

What’s interesting to mention is that those 9 million don’t even include the United States, so expect even more impressive numbers to add up when the model debuts over there. If the Galaxy Note 2 comes in the next months and a quad core tablet, too, Samsung may just have its best year yet.

The American Heart Association recommends taking at least 10,000 steps per day, so take the stairs instead of that tempting elevator. Ten minutes of climbing stairs each day will burn 150 calories for a 150-pound person. Even this research is conducted by American Heart Association, but after all, all people in the world shared same body – nobody is alien.

I’m also afraid when heard this. I spend a lot of time in front of computer since student. But when I was student, every morning or evening I took my time jogging around campus or play tennis with my friends. Do you watch cartoon Boboiboy? One of the character is Ochobot, the robot that give power to Boboiboy and friends. Ochobot is sphere robot like ball and can fly like insect. Now advanced technology make the robot one step closer to reality. But this robot cannot fly, but it can move like spider and roll. This is really cool!

The robot called as MorpHex, was created by Kåre Halvorsen with six retractable, expanding legs that let it dance when it’s not rolling. Last time in December (the post already gone), the robot couldn’t roll. In addition, the MorpHex can also pull its legs in to turn into a sphere, and the individual sections of the robot can then be used to push it in a given direction.

The rolling isn’t perfect, and Halvorsen says it’s because right now the sphere is asymmetrical, as the upper and lower halves aren’t identical. The next iteration will include a symmetrical design that should allow the MorpHex to roll easily in any direction.

Rovio, the creator of most popular mobile games, Angry Birds is set to launch a new game called Amazing Alex this summer. Finnish television station, YLE, reports that the game was rebranding of ‘Casey’s Contraptions’, an iPad game which Rovio bought from developers Noel Llopis and Miguel A.Friginal,  earlier this month.

Rovio CEO Mikael Hed told Finnish TV station Yle that the latest game “has an educational element and centers on the main character Alex, a curious young boy who loves to build things.”

The game revolves around a curious little boy, Alex, who enjoys building Rube Goldberg-esque contraptions. In the game, players can use soccer balls, toy cars, tilting shelves, scissors, magnets, pails and boxing gloves to accomplish a task. It is another physics-based game along the lines of ‘Angry Bird’.

Rovio teased the upcoming release in it’s video highlighting Angry Birds’ 1 billion downloads. Casey’s Contraptions is going to be removed from the App Store, likely in anticipation of a release under the Rovio name. Amazing Alex game may become next popular game after Angry Birds.

The 15-inch version of the MacBook Pros will arrive this summer, according to the website, which cites “trusted sources in Apple’s supply chain.”

The redesigned computers will include the same type of retina display technology used by the latest iPhone and iPad. The report also says Apple will allow users to adjust their display preferences between settings described simply as “big, small, or optimal,” for example.

Along with the upgraded display, the new line of MacBook Pros will be much thinner than before. The long-running rumor was the MacBook Pros would adopt the MacBook Air designs, but the latest report says that isn’t exactly true.

The new MacBook Pros will be similar to the MacBook Airs, but they will be “more of a pancake than a blade,” as Gizmodo describes. 

Apple has also dropped the MacBook Pro’s ethernet port and optical drive in order to fit into its new dress. The Firewire port may be gone as well, 9 to 5 Mac says, but what Apple has done is updated its USB port to the quicker USB 3.0.

If the new MacBook Pros do in fact launch this summer, Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference next month appears to be the perfect setting for Tim Cook and company to reveal them.
