5 free websites online learning resources

Learning is a process that we cannot stop until die. Sometimes we spend a lot of time in front of computer without do nothing. Why not we spend around 10 minutes to half an hours learning something valuable and gain our knowledge in the website. Here I share with 5 websites which are free and used as online learning resources.


Wikipedia is largest encyclopedia which contains more than 3.8 million in English and many others Wikipedias are available in other languages. Wikipedia is hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation, a non-profit orgnization that also hosts others such as wikinews, wikiquote, wikiversity, wiktionary and so on.


Qwiki is a interactive, on the fly and multimedia presentation of information which reads automatically selected information from various websites and also photos on the subject that user entered in search textbox. This websites was found by Doug Imbruce and Louis Monier, founder of the AltaVista search engine. Primary finance coming from Eduardo Saverin (co-founder Facebook), Jawed Karim (co-founder Youtube) and Pradeep Sindhu (co-founder Juniper Networks).

Khan Academy

Khan Academy practics new way of learning where everybody learns through online video and the practical knowledge can be tested using their system. The founder, Salman Khan, originally started the site to help tutor his cousins in math. The way of learning helps students or people to finish homeworks, prep and gain general knowledge.

BBC Learning

There are a lot way to learn English. But if you like learning English UK, BBC Learning English is one of the site you can visit. Spends about 10 minutes in this site, you will love to learn English. A lot of materials inside, either you want to learn grammar or improve vocabulary through crosswords, quizzes, comics, news and so on. A few materials can be downloaded in this site.

TED Talks

How to learn giving speech in front of people? If you are the person who will give the talks in the stage, then you should find TED Talks. TED (Technology Entertainment and Design) Talks is a site where a collection of best talks and performance videos from TED conferences. More than 700 talks can be watched in this site and the past speakers or presenters are among influence people in their domain such as Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Google’s Larry Page and many Nobel Prize winner.
